Vivaluz (they) is an emerging photographer native to Brooklyn, New York. They have a breadth of experience developing narrative photography projects, primarily exploring familial bonds, historical narratives, and gender + sexuality through a Black, Queer lens. In addition to photography, their practice also incorporates sound art, poetry, and alternative printing

processes. They received a formal education from the International Center of Photography and the Maryland Institute College of the Arts. Most notably, Vivaluz's works were virtually exhibited at the 2021 Photoville Festival in ICP at the Point: Picturing Sorrow and Joy, the 2022 ICP Imagemakers cohort exhibition, the MICA 2024 First Year Experience Exhibit, and here, at incognico!
